| Welcome to Allfish Emporium’s amazing Shark Feeding Frenzy show, happening every Tuesday night at 7:00pm! The stars of the show are FOUR species of vicious sharks and THREE species of ferocious moray eels!
Lurking in the deep blue water, sharks are perhaps the most feared creatures in the ocean. Most sharks are carnivorous, and prefer to eat fish, squid and crustaceans. At Allfish Emporium, we feed our sharks finger mullet, silversides, and their favorite – squid. Although their bodies are well equipped for catching food, sharks can’t chew well, so they need a few days to properly digest. Sharks live off the oil that they store in their liver when they do feed until they are able to find their next meal. Moray eels are among the most exotic-looking creatures in the sea. They are brightly colored, and are found mostly in coral reefs. Morays have razor sharp teeth and a really powerful bite. Their jaws open wide so they can swallow large chunks of food. They usually hide in crevices in coral reefs and wait for prey to pass by. Generally, morays will eat any fish that will fit into their mouths; unlike snakes, morays don’t swallow their food whole. Our spectacular sharks and moray eels live in this 5,000 gallon, circular, saltwater aquarium at Allfish Emporium in Tamarac, FL. We’re located on the southeast corner of University Drive and McNab Road. Our huge 18,000 square-foot showroom is filled with aquariums of every size, an enormous selection of aquarium supplies, and so much more. On Shark Feeding Frenzy night many items in the store are 25% off. Come on out, bring the kids, and enjoy the show! |
